A Letter From Our New Music Director

Dear St. Francis:
I’m so very happy to begin as Music Director at St Francis and one of my priorities is to build a choir from the abundance of wonderful singers in this parish. My first and most lasting impression when I came to visit St Francis was the beautiful singing of the hymns by all of you in the congregation. There are so many people who have had a lot of experience in music here. What a joy!
All are welcome to join the choir which will support the ministry at St Francis.
Those that are able, let’s meet after church this Sunday the 10th. We can talk about music choice, do a bit of singing and decide on music for the weeks to come-in particular to have an anthem ready for the Blessing of the Animals service on October 1st. If you can’t be with us this Sunday, as it’s short notice, but would like to sing in the choir please send me an email at: heidi@stfranciswillowglen.org.
Rehearsals will take place on Sundays after church from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and we will meet to go over the music before the services at 9:15 a.m.
I look forward to a choir community that will be a source of joy both to those participating and to those whose worship will be enhanced by song.
