Christmas Together

If ever there was a time to come together to celebrate "Peace on Earth, Good Will to All..."
Christmas is coming ….
We are getting ready for our Advent and Christmas Season, and look forward to seeing everyone. We are hoping you invite your friends and neighbors to join us, as with much darkness in the world, the Incarnation reminds us that God is with us. Emmanuel!
Advent! Sundays at 8:00 am and 10:15 am | December 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th
For the four Sundays before Christmas we will light a candle for each of the four Sundays on our Advent Wreath. We will herald the coming Christmas season with a Hawaiian inspired rite sounding the “pu” a conch shell, and our priest, Fr. Craig, will be bringing some apple cider to sip for coffee hour after the service.

Lessons and Carols | December 17th, 5:00 pm
We will celebrate the traditional service of 9 Lessons and Carols in the tradition of King’s College, Cambridge. We would greatly appreciate all of our able-voiced parishioners to sing with us for this occasion. We will have a number of lovely Christmas choral anthems, with some guest choristers and instrumentalists joining us.
Blue Christmas | December 21st, 7:00 pm
Blue Christmas is a service on Longest Night. It is a service for those experiencing loss at Christmas. It combines bits of All Saints, and remembering those whom we have lost, with a soft and contemplative Christmas service.
Christmas Eve: Family Service | December 24th, 4:30 pm
Please join us for our family service and Christmas Pageant, designed to bring some of the Christmas magic for our little ones.
Midnight Mass | December 24th, 10:30 pm
We will have choristers and instrumentalists, there are rumors of bells, and inevitably. Silent Night by candlelight. The is the the Real Christmas Deal for which all of the preparation culminates.
Christmas Day | December 25th, 10:00 am
This will be an intimate Christmas morning service in the chapel for those whose tradition is to celebrate on Christmas Day.
Cookiemas | December 31st at 10:00 am (no early service)
“Cookiemas” is something which I have introduced in various parishes that I have served in. It is a simple carol service with readings and is lay lead, with neither a homily nor eucharist. After the service parishioners are invited to bring their leftover Christmas baking to share together; a nice denouement from the Christmas rush and and intimate “12 days of Christmas” sharing.
A musical Santa Giving Opportunity
We are hoping for some musical Santa’s to help resource our Lessons and Carols and Christmas Eve services. A few parishioners have already offered to help with the $2200 that we will need for guest musicians. If anyone would like to contribute financially to make our festive services even more wonderful, please chat with Heidi or Fr. Craig or simply drop a check into the offering with “Christmas services’ on the check.
