Michael Burroughs, Organist, Director of Music and Spiritual Life
Michael joined St. Francis in September of 2017. He comes from the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and studied piano and organ as an undergraduate at Virginia Intermont College and the University of Kentucky. He did his graduate work in counseling at East Tennessee State University, organ at University of Colorado Boulder, and theology at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley. Michael lives in Santa Cruz where he is the director and teacher of the Northern Treasures Dharma Community. He has served as Director of Music and Organist at churches in San José, Boulder, CO and Washington, DC.
